Chair Yoga

Strengthen the entire body and your core muscles while sitting in a chair holding stretches and poses for shorter periods of time
This is a great class for seniors with physical challenges
Welcome to our most gentle class- Chair Yoga! This class specifically targets beginning students with physical challenges whom find it difficult to get on and off of the floor as which is required with regular yoga. This class incorporates traditional yoga poses but students will be sitting in a chair. Seniors who want to be involved in a small group class while sitting in a chair would benefit the most. Chair yoga can help strengthen the entire body, including the back, neck and core areas. This type of class includes gentle stretches with holding for short periods of time. This is a wonderful class for increasing circulation, movement, capability and energy enhancement. Some of the benefits of chair yoga is: stronger breathing, deeper relaxation, stronger core muscles and increased flexibility. Innovative Wellness Studio will provide the chairs and mats. Participants are recommended to wear comfortable workout attire that you can move around in. Please Bring water and a towel. Yoga socks are welcomed.
