Biography
Growing up I had always considered myself to be “in shape” being actively in-volved in sports throughout high school and then immediately jumping into a physically demanding job as a parasail boat mate and sailboat Captain in Key West, FL. However, years later while pursing a career in firefighting I realized that I was not as “fit” as I thought I was. So after briefly trying on my own and being completely lost and embarrassed in a gym I decided to hire a personal trainer to help guide me to build the strength needed to pass the physical assess-ment test required for the academy. That decision changed everything! I instantly fell in love with strength training and was amazed at how it changed my life from the inside out.

Through strength training I not only gained a confidence that I had never felt before but most importantly the courage to be myself without caring what others thought about me. The strength I gained was not just physical it was also mental! Soon after passing my fitness test (CPAT) and written exams to get into the firefighting academy I decided I was not going to continue the process and that I was going to trust my gut and change my course to a career in Personal Training. I wanted to Inspire, Motivate and Coach others into being the best versions of themselves so I could help others discover how much it can change their life.

Finding my focus in functional fitness that can be applied to better your everyday life. I combine a variety of fitness genres and modalities for individually programming workouts and classes for my clients that are fun and based around where they are physically, and with what will work best for their goals, timeline and personality type (including but not limited to free weights, Trx, Pilates Strength based and Stretch based exercises, Kettle bell training, Olympic lifting, CrossFit, Running and Rowing….ect) I like to get to know my clients on a physical and emotional level to be able to un-derstand how to motivate and coach them! There is simply no comparison to the joy that I get from watching my clients accomplish their goals and discover strengths they didn’t know they had and the confidence to be themselves no matter what environment their in. A tsign of true strength and happiness. I often tell them that although I am their Trainer “Coach” they are the ones that teach me so much about life!
